My MPC One + comes from Sweetwater tomorrow! I am an 80 year old just getting started in synths, keys, and music production. ( I know, a little late) I love jazz and will be trying to make some nice grooves to go along with my synths. Can anyone please point me to any of the expansion packs that might have any kits more suited for jazz, and especially at least one brush kit. Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I don't think it's late. I'd love to keep learning things I like if I make it to my 80s. I think it's a privilege.

For the kits I would recommend you to take a look at these two
'Rusty Drums' (Free MPC Drum Kit Expansion) https://www.mpc-samples.com/product.php ... expansion/
The Pro Studio Kit https://www.mpc-samples.com/product.php ... tudio-kit/

Both are in my opinion suitable for jazz, despite of lacking the brushes you require.

Other interesting resource would be looperman (https://www.looperman.com/loops). There you can find drum loops played by real drummers, and there are plenty of them with jazzy ride cymbals and brushes. The bad news is that the loops are provided "as is" in a .wav file and you'd have to manually add them on the MPC and do some editing.

Already waiting for it. :worthy:

I can highly suggest Tutor‘s kits on http://www.mpc-samples.com. I am very satisfied with all of them and would (will!) buy again.

Been using Infinity drums for YEARS since mpc 4k and it’s STILL lovely.
