Creator of models 60,3000,2000XL and some of the 2500 model (maybe ideas or features but I think he left Akai Pro. around the same time as well. Just wanted to put that out there. What do you supporters think Akai would be like had he remain?

Linn did the MPC 60, MPC 3000 and that's it, since AKAI later scammed him out of his commission on all MPC. He has nothing to do with the rest and certainly not the MPC 2500.

Oh ok, could have sworn he left Akai Professional before 1998.

You're contradicting yourself.

The MPC3000 released around 1994. Linn had absolutely nothing to do with AKAI after that year. He wasn't involved in the MPC2000 design and forward. All I know is InMusic owes Linn money and O'Donnell refuses to give him that money.

It's more than likely better or for worse. He is currently recreating and releasing his Linn Drum machines at the moment. Akai on the other hand is merged with Nu-Mark and inMusic and other developers so I think that is why they are getting so many complaints as of recently. Everything is getting either a makeover or a rejection.

what? akai was bought out by inmusic 20 years ago... akai has been getting complaints for 20 years and they used to be far worse than ones they would be getting today. literally every mpc model they put out had issues.. actually almost every product outside of mpcs as well. if it weren't for JJ making the 3rd party JJOS for the 1000 and 2500 generation of mpcs, who knows if we would even have these new ones. they probably would have abandoned the whole line.
