Bank A and B on MPK Mini 3

I have an MPK mini 3 on MPC beats.
Knobs 70-77 can be mapped, but the rest cant.
I am able to map 16 pads on MPC with my 8 pads on my mini using banks A and B, but cannot map 16 knobs in MPC to 8 knobs on my mini using bank A and B.
Is anyone able to help? it seems like either the software or the hardware isnt realizing im pushing "bank" when i want to map my knobs

I am not sure, but AFAIK the banks only refer to the pads, not the knobs.
