Sounds that a new producer needs?

With so many sounds out to choice from, a person can go crazy searching for sounds. I was wondering if anybody had an idea of sounds that a new producer would need to get by. I've found a website with THOUSANDS of sounds. I am using an MPC 2000XL, external zip drive, internal floppy. I have access to a Korg Triton, Yamaha Motif, and everyday access to a Radio Shack keyboard. I'm more so worried about drum samples for the MPC. Any advice would do.

Download EVERY sound you come across cause you might be able to use them sooner or later. Be wary of copyright infringement when you start going public though..
