Cubase SX 3 controlling MPC 2000 problem

I have Cubase SX 3 controlling my MPC 2000 but the problem I have is when I hit play on Cubase the MPC plays but Cubase chops off the first kick, it's like there's some sort of delay. What should I do?

naw thats not it. You have the mpc set on the wrong thing. I record all the time without adding a extra bar. It starts and stops at the right time. I think what ever you have you mpc set to (midi clock or time cod) its the other option you are using right now...i just dont what one it is cause im not near the mpc.
