MPC3 Beta Keygroups

I'm finding the keygroup experience pretty confusing (i'm new to MPC's). When you create a keygroup and hit the browse 'button' it takes you straight into loading a sample. Ok, i thought it would take you to a screen to select a keygroup, but i figured out that i can then:

choose a sample
load it into memory
go to program edit
choose the sample

Voila i have a keygroup! Is this the correct/most efficient way?

Also i know how to save a keygroup, but i can't figure out how to load a keygroup, does anyone how to do that in MPC3 Beta?
