Hello,

I am new to MPC and have got an MPC One.
I loaded a drumkit and was playing around with it while watching a tutorial about retrospective recording.
So I tried that (shif and rec) and indeed my pattern that I toggled got recorded.

So when I change the bpm to fit my pattern in the sequence, the midi is not changing in the grid.
Can I enable that somewhere?

I try and post a video a day, and figured I'd take a stab at putting something together to see if it might help you on my YouTube channel. Should drop something on Sunday if you're interested.

sure thing :) I am.
The thing is that I like to play my beats without a metronom because I just play the tempo that I feel like in that moment. In my DAW I can find the tempo very easy and line it up with the grid there. I am new to MPC I don't know how you do it there.

The MPC doesn't really do "tempo matching" or whatever other products call it...

You might dig the feature for this on the Ableton Move... but I know that doesn't help you with the MPC :D

Ok, in that case I will select all my notes and try to align them to the grid. The problem is that I always have to set a bpm so I guess that it just won't work. Can't I change the bpm without changing the notes? That would be perfect!

Use tap tempo before you create so that you can “tap” your own tempo in place. Afterwards, go create.
