Overdub settings question

I bought an MPC Live 3 for Christmas and I love it! One thing I would like to adjust is the Overdub function. When I am trying to overdub a sequence if I get to the end of the bars and I’m still tapping the pads playing a beat it will automatically begin to overdub again and mess me all up. Is there a way to set the overdub function to just do one overdub for the length of the bars and then stop? Thanks

I think your best bet is to turn Loop off when overdubbing. Or keeping an eye on where you are in your sequence.
