8 outs

I'm going to pick up an MPC2000XL-MCD when it finally hits stores around new years. The price is kind of steep to previous models around $1699.00 USD. The obvious aditional feature is a Multiple Card Drive instead of an internal zip disk drive. Now an increase from 1299.00 to 1699.00 seemed like a huge jump. reading through some of the technical specifics i saw it said...

"8 Individual Outputs: 1/4-inch phone x 8, unbalanced +11dBu, output Imp. 100 Ohms (optional); Max. output level +17dBu"

so is this the 8 out board already included into the mpc, and does anyone know if this is confirmed? they could of just included technical specs including options but im not really sure. Basically if it is not included its a rip off (no thanks not looking for used equiptment) because the mpc2000xl-MCD + 8out board + ram would be over 2000$ and probably better off going to a 4000 at that rate.

8 individuals outs is the 8 out board.

thanks, i guess the real question is whether the 8 out expansion board is included in that particular model. Trying to rationalize an increase of $500 over the base model with no internal drives back in january versus having a multiple card drive(other then supply and demand and the new distribution they have).

Why don't you ask wherever you're trying to buy it from?

I think the '(optional)' says it all. You will need to buy the 8 outs board separately.

if i was you, i would just buy a used 4000. You can get a 4000 cheaper than that on ebay.
