search is annoying....

I'm all for searching instead of just posting questions that have been asked 1000's of times but i find the search facility on this site awful. I cannot see an option ro search titles only and when i click to display results by topic, i still get it in post format. Hard to explain but basically the results come up with individual posts from each topic and not just having the topic which contains the results! This makes my search more long winded because it brings up more results than necessary.

Shame because this is a great site and i dont wanna sound like i'm ungrateful but TITLE SEARCH WOULD BE GREAT!!!

Hmmm, ok....Spose it depends how well u use it

Are you making use of the AND rule? The use of 'And' between each key word helps to make a relationship between the results that are found

Eg

MPC1000 and ram and memory and upgrade

MPC1000 and Vs and MPC2000xl

Depending on how popular or similar a topic is/was will depends on how many results get returned. Some will take longer than others to siff thru but its worth having a little dig. Theres a lot of valuable info up in here
