question - not mpc related

Do monitors (nearfields) or any other speakers I guess need to warm up before you start pumping up the volume? Or will turning them on getting them on the line of distortion not do any harm?

PS. If anyone out there is thinking of buying monitors, learn from my mistake and save virtually double of what you think you need to spend if your looking the in budget, or even semi-budget range and get some bigger speakers.

Monitors don't need to be warmed up, but its a good idea to turn them off before you turn off you computer as to avoid audio spikes.
