I just got my MPC1K yesterday, and I've learned all the basic functions. I've made some songs with internal presets, but I want to start sampling sounds from the internet. My first question is, can I delete all the internal preset songs, sequences, and programs; if so, how?

I WANT THEM COMPLETELY REMOVED FROM THE MEMORY!!!

You can just stop them loading, you know, you don't have to remove them, just hit Window key in the Load screen to find the function.

Removing them actually means: saving "nothing" to the internal memory. Unload everything from RAM, all samples, sequences etc, then do the save. I would point you at the manual pg 84, but we're not supposed to do that on the Newbie forum...

And don't confuse the Internal Memory with the Autoload folder on your CF card. If you don't want that to load every time, rename or delete the folder.

Did you download and read the manual? You can answer MANY of your own questions if you do that WHILE pushing buttons that you read about.
