Drum Rolls on 2kxl MCD

I just bought a 2000xl MCD. I've **** around with regular 2000 and I thought you could program rolls by holding the Tap/tempo down and pressing the pads. It doesnt work for mine though... What am I doing wrong?

tap tempo is for, tapping the TEMPO out, not making rolls

Tap tempo/Note Repeat....It should work (Make sure u got the seq running tho)

drums rolls can be playing out in tap tempo/note repeat.
the roll will be equal to whatever the timing is quantized at.

if your timing is set to 1/16 then that's the note repeat your
gonna get. test out different timings and see what's what.
