Shift Amount on MPC1000

I have just taken delivery of a new mpc1000,
I have been working on an mpc60 for many years and i used something called 'Shift Amount' in the 'Timing Correct page' that could shift events forward or back, like moving claps or String sounds slightly ahead of the beat.
I can not seem to find this option on my new mpc1000. is this option deleted from the new 1000? or can i do this another way, move notes slightly ahead of the beat.

Unless I missed it altogether, I didn't see it either. the way I work around that is for the track i'm working on (like track 2), I turn the TC off and record my claps/snare/whatever, in the spot that i want it. that way its not stuck to a grid (so to speak) then for my next track i turn the TC back on.

you are talking about recording 'live' which i think, as you said is the only way,
I just got an email back from Akai japan, it reads:

"The MPC1000 does not support "Shift Amount" function"

that's a shame because this is a great little machine, and the only real reason to work on this type of unit is the 'feel' so why remove part of that.
Looks like we are moving backwards a bit !
anyway i have some live recording ahead of me.

Sounds like you could use the "Swing" function for some of this...

That will not work,
Drum programing is a funny thing, a good feel is not always right on the beat.
Teddy Riley(producer of Black street, Bobby brown etc) used to have his snares, claps, snaps etc, pushing ahead of the beat which gave a driving feel to his tracks, as real drummers do.
