Q: Playing melodies with the MPC 1K?

Hello. I know the MPC 1K doesn't do timestrech but if I tune my sample to different notes on different pads will the higher note samples seem sped up? Thanks.

sample a couple different notes and program them onto different pads

For quick easy fun select the sample u want to play chromatically, hit 16 levels button, select tune (making sure sample u want is still selected in above field. TURN ON, bingo

(puttin em in the same mute group works well )
