aight lets start with verse. a verse is the part where the emcee is rhyming. this is usally 16 bars (more bout that later)

a hook is a repeated phrase or bars that get stuck in the listeners mind, to hook them in. easiest example is fifty cents in the club, the part where he goes u can catch me in the club.... and he repeats it 3 times through the track or lil jons GET LOWWWW, FROM THE WINDOWS TO THE WALLS, SKEET SKEET SKEET

a bridge is like a breakdown that "bridges" the hook to the verse. or vice versa. its the part where usally it will drop out some shit then bulid back up into a verse or hook

bars are the basic unit of time in music. a bar is made up of beats. a beat is what ur mpcs click makes. that 1 , 2, 3, 4 that =1 bar.
so
1
2
3
4
is one bar. if u tap ur finger to a beat that is the tempo. 1 2 3 4/ 2 2 3 4/ 3 2 3 4/ 4 2 3 4 is 4 bars. 16 beats. this is timing. now bpms beats per minute is how fast ur song is, or tempo.

a hook is always in hip hop. they are the most important casuse a good hook is what the listener will be humming later. its the part of the song that is repeated.

and again a verse is where the emcee goes off for 16 bars in most cases. there is usally 3 in most songs.

and the bridge is a variation, say after the hook i have a dj cut for 8 bars, then go into a verse that would be my bridge.

listen to alot of hip hop and count along with it. go 1 2 3 4 to the beat. it will always loop on the 1. once u get that down it will make ur life alot easier.

most song structure looks like thisin hip hop
Into, 4 or 8 bars
verse 1 - 16 bars
hook 1 - 8 bars
verse 2 - 16 bars
hook 2 - 8 bars
verse 3 - 16 bars
hook 3 - 8 bars
bridge - 4 to 8 bars
verse 3 - 16 bars
outro - 8 bars
just keep listening to the radio, but this is usally the standard format. it helps to make ur verse 16 casue most good emcees write to that format.
