Loading samples w/ MPC1K

I just bought a MPC1K and have tried to follow the manual on loading samples, but it seems like everytime I load my samples I can't figure out how to find them after that. So that I can use them. I know this is basic, but this is my first MPC.

First off, welcome.When you load samples, are you assigning them to pads in a program? Basic question but we gotta be on the same page to help each other out. If not,try Mode:Load, cursor-View:samples cursor up to File: press window button.Spin the wheel.

I bought a 512mb cf card loaded a bunch of samples and want to then load them into my mpc. I guess what I'm trying to do is load a whole folder at one time. So, that all the samples in that particular folder are all on the mpc. However when I load them I can't seem to find them. This is what I usually try. Let me see if I can remeber the steps off hand, because I'm at work right now. mode>pad 3>find the folder I want> then press do it. What should I do after that. It seems like I'm following the manual to the t, but the manual seems to vague. thank you

Ok, if they're loaded into the mpc, the samples need to be assigned to pads in a program in order to play.Main page,scroll to Pgm. press window. If the pad(s) are blank go to pg.58 in manual.
