MPC 2000XL is dual Voltage.

So no need for a transformer to step up or down the voltage when you are going overseas, stateside or to Japan. The transformer on the inside of the MPC automatically adjusts for the input voltage. All you'll really need is a outlet plug convertor for the countries outlet..
I just wanted to put this info out there because there was somebody that asked this question awhile ago.

Oh yeah... just remember to use a 3 prong power cord so the unit stays electrically grounded.

My MPC-2000Xl came from Canada and I'm in a French departement.
In the back, first time I looked I saw the "120VAC @60HZ only for USA and CANADA". I was afraid. I just email my seller and asked him about this.
He said nothing to worry the mpc travels very well.

Japan uses 50hz, your mpc will be fine, no step up or step down.
Canada same thing.

If you go somewhere across the world and they use 240v you NEED to step down or it will get fried in less than 2 seconds.

120VAC @60HZ only for USA and CANADA is like it says for USA and Canada. Other than that you are taking your risks unless you are aware of that countries outlet power and it happens to be the same specs as USA/Canada.

Talking about voltage shit, nothing to see with norms etc... I was making a dope drum break when my mpc suddenly restarted... so one second after nothing; 32mo FREE RAM ahahaha! I clipped tons of alims transfos to win space , I probably moved a cable with my foot or hit the table with my leg clapping the rythm... don't do that.

Tidy your cables and alims.

Thats true. I've fried a DJ mixer because of using the wrong power cord. We got 240VAC over 'ere and I'm plugging my "American spec" MPC right into the 240VAC with no problems tho'.

Hey does anyone know the voltage output of the power supply boards on the mpc 2000/xl ?
