MPC1000 Program Editor?

whats the purpose of the MPC1000 Program Editor,is this the operating system,for the 1k

It is what is says it is.

It's a program editor on PC for your 1k.
You can edit/create pgms on your pc, later on import to 1k and use.
It maybe easier and quicker to do pgms on pc than inside the 1k.
Many people have MANY samples on computer and this is an easy
way for them to do that. Search for BLUE BOX in the forums and you will find the program..

The purpose of the MPC 1000 program editor is to create your own customized programs for your MPC. You can sample off a source (TV, DVD, RADIO, TURNTABLE, 8-TRACK, ETC.), transfer the samples to your PC, and create a program. I like making my programs on my PC, because I find it easier and faster.

You have to read your manual for the specifics. It's also been explained in detail many other times here in the forums ....
