I've just bought my first MPC (2000xl), and the seller also sent me a IOMEGA Zip 250 drive. He had barely used the machine and the Zip drive had belonged to his friend who had been using it for his MPC 3000, so the first thing I had to do was to buy a new cable (50 pin instead of 25) in order to use the Zip.
Here is my problem: When I try to format or save I get the message "SCSI conflict on ID#6". Does anyone out there know what this is about? I've never used Zip drives before so I'm a bit clueless here. It says in the MPC manual that one should look in the manual for the Zip drive for the correct SCSI ID, but the seller didn't send me one.
Any help here would be much appreciated.
