yes, I was just wondering, I have just recently purchased my Mpc2000xl, and it came with a sample cd full of wav drumkits. The only problem is, i dont know how to put the kit in my mpc so I can play them.. they are on a cd and the mpc only has a disc drive... what should I do. and if i have to purchase something else.. what do i need to purchase to play my new drum kits in wav format.

You either purchase a SCSI CDROM drive (apple 300 off Ebay will do), or you put that CD in your computer and transfer the sounds to disk (if your computer has the same tyoe of disk drive as your MPC).

yeah
I'd buy an external zip drive for your computer (used 100mb one for like 30 bux) EBAY
install that ish thru your scsi port on the back and then drag all your sounds from the cd onto the zip
AND... once you start making heat, you can transfer your wav's and tracks and stuff back into your computer and resequence, master, add effects etc. thru programs
