mpc and reaktor/midi question

sorry if this is a newbie question (although i guess i'm in the right place), but i've checked all the respective manuals and i haven't been quite sure how to make everything work together. i've been using my mpc as a standalone unit for years but recently decided to expand to soft synthesis. I have a little experience with running reaktor under digital performer in another studio, but everything was set up before hand, and i was using a synth controler and sequencing to dp. In my home I'd like to continue to use the mpc as the primary sequencer. I've read that dp might not be able to slave to an mpc because of timing issues. if this is the case can anyone recommend another sequencing program to run reaktor through. can i just run the mpc directly into reaktor?

m-audio 2x2 midisport
g5
reaktor 4
digital performer 4.5

any advice how to make them interact?
