MPC To monitors, this will only take a second

Hey,
I swear I looked thru forums and used search, and this is just a quick question. I need to run my MPC 2000 directly into my M-Audio monitors. They are active so i can skip an amp. I figure I need TRS cables, but my question is do I run my left out on my MPC directly to my left in on the monitor with just One 1/4 to 1/4 cable and the same with the right? Or do I need to run right and left outs both going into a speaker with some type of adapter. It seems that just one cord would only allow one channel thru. If someone could just quickly tell me the best way to run my mpc outs directly to monitors I would be much obliged. Thanks.

Since there are amped, Just run the trs cables from each out (l+r on the Mpc) to the accordingly speakers. No adapter.
By the way which M audio monitors did you get?

If you have a mixer, connect them there. If you don't have a mixer, you will need to get one. Unless you are just producing MPC only.

I got the m-audio 8s and so far they sound real nice. I am strictly mpc producing so no need for mixer, except to run the turntable thru. another small question. before I even hook in any cables to the monitors i can hear a small buzz coming out of them. Is this just normal electronic buzz, it is not noticeable unless i stick my ear up to the tweeter, or should i go raise some hell with musicians friend?

The buzz could be a number of things.

My first guess would be a 60Hz tone coming from the power cable, but you said it is buzzing at the tweeter so this is probably not the problem.

Try swapping out cables or connecting the speakers to another source besides the MPC.

Post the results if you still cant figure it out.
