Getting Started With My MPC1000

I need some help with my mpc, i mean i am new to the mpc but not new to making beats. Yo heres my problem i wanna know if anyone can provide some steps to puttin a simple beat together, with a hihat, snare, bass you know the usually. I have not got far with this phase i tried to read the maual it came with but i am lost. If some can break it down how i can start a beat and the functions i have to do, do so, it would be appreciated, and let me know if i am making any sense. 1

You said you're not new to making beats so why do you need help on putting drum sounds together for a beat?

Anyway heres an example.

track 1 - simple hi-hat pattern
track 2 - drum and snare.
track 3 - bass

to do this go into a blank sequence and set your bpm to w/e you want.

you will start at track 1 and change the program to w/e sounds you want depending the program you made.

when you finish with track 1 just go to the next track and add more sounds.
