New MPC coming ?

Just wondering if anybody heard any rumors if a new or updated mpc is coming ? summer namm ?
I want to get an akai MPC1000 but if let`s say it gets a hardware update or something, i`d probably wait for that newer version.
Other reason for asking is that none of the AKAI sites get updated, mostly meaning they got taken over , working on something new or nothing is like the old days anymore and they don`t give a dime for hardware anymore.

word? if that's the case, numark definitely didn't last long

rumors i've heard so far were that alesis would push 2 or 3 new models out for different budget. Biggest one is supposed to be like a "Big Bro" of the 4k, which sounds rather strange to me.

alesis bought akai that's so wrong in a way...
alesis got bankrupt for designing their HD recorder got bought and now they're buying other companies...
atleast alesis got a new site, that took ages also ! and a new ION system would be excellent.

it's starting to sound like 'the residents' same name but hardly the original feel and members




oh yeah one more remark : free exm128 upgrade if you buy an mpc1000 that sounds like end of stock shipping to me !!!

Well as far as i know Numark got Akai and Alesis so its Numark who it the ruler of them all now

I`ve seen more reports about an updated mpc1000plus just like the current mpc4000 plus... maybe finnally that hard disk for the 1000.
And updated system etc...
oh well end of the month we might find out at summer namm
meanwhile i did get a 1000.

they should fix all bugs
& make a new paying os for both 1k & 4k with lots more features
1 & 4k has lots of potential

best for both parties
they dont need money to build a new machine
they make money by selling more 1 & 4k´s and by selling os´s
and we dont "need" to buy a new more featured machine

i got the ins on something someone said that their was oging to be pocket sized mpc with a pocked sized rackmount sampler.. its going to be unveiled at the namm but dont tell them you heard it from me

okay,
here's what my source at akai told me. said there will be two new guys coming out later in the year or beginning of next. mpc2500 (i know that sounds really weird) suppose to be the better 1k trying to be an XL almost. again they're trying to fit budgets. the other is suppose to compete with the mv but he wouldn't release the name on that one. don't take my word for it just sharing what i know or am lead to believe right now. i really don't care. i'm happy with my 20yr old lady who's got me lovin makin good music in 12bit. yeah i know we suppose to be talkin about the 4k to which i also own. she's dangerous too when she's not moody . my two cents. peace!
