Copying from one pad to another MPC 2000xl

Hi,

Bought a 2000xl, did a quick search and pored over my manual but no joy so...

I know there is probably something I'm missing here but does anyone know how I can take the sounds assigned to the pads in bank A and copy them to the corresponding pads in banks C and D etc.

Still getting to grips with even the basics but I'm blown away by the possibilities of this machine.

You can copy pads, but you can't do more than one at a time. So to copy bank A to B, C, or D you need to do one by one until you've got all 16.

I haven't messed with my XL in a while so this is just by memory. I'm pretty sure this is it.

When you are in the params screen in Programs, move the cursor up to the very top where it says the pad and sound assigned to it. Then press Open Window. It should be easy from there.

Open window on EVERYTHING that you highlight and usually you will come into a window on some specifics of that function your highlighting.

OPEN WINDOW is your best friend.

the guy who sold me his 2000xl said that I would lose days on this machine...
