aight so i know this is mpc forums but i figured id just post this n see if im alone on this or not.....

aight so sometimes i use my microkontrol for basslines when im makin a beat in reason and when i load a bass sound into one of hte samplers (either one) when it is set to all the keys or more than one key as i play the notes away from the root note the further i get away the more the sound sounds either sped up or slowed down depending on which way your going on the keys to the point where it sounds like shitt n the bass doesnt punch it sound sall flat...it actually does this w/ any sound loaded up not just bass

but my question is: has anyone else run into this problem? and is there a solution to it? i have thought about getting separate bass sounds of each note in an octave but i would rather just load one bass sound and be able to play the whole range of notes.....thanks

if the bass or other instruments are sounding flat mess about with the attack and all the other filters you can use on reason. Yea i no wot you mean about those sounds i think its just the way it has been sampled. I think it would sound better if it was sampled twice every octave

has anyone ever used an actual bass to make their own basslines?
