Akai S950 with MPC 1K! please help!

these are a couple of dumb questions and i know better, but can someone just answer a couple of ll questions about using the 1K with tthe Akai S950 -

1)jus double checking, you can hook up the MPC 1k to the S950 via MIDI and control the drum samples in the S950 with the 1K's pads???

2)you will be able to assign different sounds or samples to the individual 8 outputs of the S950 for recording and tracking??

3) are there any notorious or obvious compatability issues i should be aware of when using these two together??

i know these are real simple, but i couldnt find them answred anywhere cuz there probably so simple, but i jus wanted to double check!
