Acid Pro or Sound Forge?? (mac newbie)

whats up guys, i'm coppin a mpc soon. right now i'm workin wit Reason on a g4 Powerbook but I need to chop up some samples before i get the mpc for some cuts i have done. My question is can I use Acid Pro for mac and is there a free version out there?? Same for Sound Forge.
