i searched but didnt find a "definition".

ok, what exactly is a "bar"? how long is a bar?do you all use the metronome function? and finally when u sample do your drums or whatever have to match the samples bpm? all this shit has me confused.

By using the mpc and lightly experimenting you can answer these questions. In my own mind I consider a bar to be a measure of time/one unit, I don't know what the exact definition is. Samples and drums don't have to have matching bpms, but usually they do.

Measure - A division of notated music according to the number of beats or subdivisions of the beat, as indicated by the time signature is generally employed.

when you listen to music (especially rap) but can pertain to just about any genre, and you clap your hands to the beat, how many times do you clap before the beat repeats itself? if the answer is 4 then you just counted 1 bar.

as explained above with the definition of a measure, music generally has a time signature of 4/4 4 beats per measure

Top number - how many beats in a measure(bar)
bottom number - what type of note stands for one beat

if it is 3/8

Then 3 beats is one bar. An eigth note is one beat. A quarter note would be two beats and so on.

4/4 like was said is the most used

Quarter notes are one beat. Every 4 beats is a bar. Half notes would be two beats. Whole notes would be four beats.

You should take a fundamentals of music class or music theory class. Teaches you all about this type of stuff and you don't even need to know hwo to play an indstrument.

I'm sure you would find some very talented people were making good music long before they new the first thing about music theory.

I learned what a bar was by making music. Kinda knew before hand but not really. I thought 2 bars was a bar, so I was half right (or 2x right?)

a bar is a long cylander made of either metal or wood.......

effective uses are inclusive of but not limited to:

solving a traffic dispute
debt repayment
debt reinforcement
anger management
