mpc 1000 owners

ive made a quick observion about the mpc1000 owners. a lot of them complain about everything. no one on the other boards ex. 2000 60 4000 dont complain about every little thing. i say if your going to get a mpc 1k know what your gettin into and when it arrives dont complain about everylittle thing because you know what you were gettin into. werd

Maybe that's because the 1000 is new and cheaper meaning two things - one, more people can buy them, and two, the layout of the system is different and still new to people.

I made that comment about a year ago. I had the 1k and complained, but then as I dug into it and found myself pulling more out of it, It didnt' even matter that I didn't have those features.

That's the whole moral of the story right there. You dug into it and found happiness. That's the stuff that mpc dreams are made of right?

I would have to agree ppl do complain way too much in the 1k forum. i don't hang around there to much. I'll maybe pop in and see whats up. i own a 1k, and think its fine the way it is, with out any updates. I knew what I was gettin in to when I purchased it, and was never expecting any more from it. But your right Bhunt the more you dig the better it gets. This is my first mpc and I luv it.

i didnt care about timestretching and zoning when i got my 1k and then after a while i wished i had it i still do..but im fine with it the way it is and gives me much.....joy!

I was under the impression that the 1000 is made to be paired up with a PC (USB transfer and not too much sample editing). If I had CEP and a powerful PC when I bought mine (as well as the 1000 being available) I prolly woulda copped the 1000. The only thing I really NEED the MPC for now is the sequencing and the pads, seeing as how I sample and edit and loop samples in CEP 2.1.

i dont have a 1k but ma dude bought one a few months ago and didnt kno anything about an mpc so i had to school him. the only thing i find a problem is it isnt user friendly like the 2000 or the 2000xl. everything seems crammed. but im a little jealous at the filters.

I think the 1K is fine. I haven't had a problem with mine since I've bought it, other than the time the whole screen went dark, which was just the contrast.

Me too. A lot of the complaints wouldn't have been there if people read their manuals.

i actually found it a little more user friendly then the 2000.

for instance, with the program editing. Instead of puttin another sound from another pad on a pad, you can put 4 sounds on the same pad. know what i mean.

yea that is dope. im talkin about havin to hit this and hold that pad to trim or whateva. kept hittin the wrong sh!t but im just used to the xl so thats mainly the reason. its a coo little machine but id rather have an xl.
