Sp 303 functions

Is it true that with the 303 your sample pads can only have 30 seconds of sample time with each pad?

Lets say i got one bank with my one shot sounds(drum hit, snare, hi hats) and then I'm making a beat with these and a loop from a record, then lets say i want to put some conga drums in there, can i access my sounds that are not in the 4 banks and then load some conga drums into some of the pads that are free?

if i understand your question correctly I think you can do this. But i am sorry I don't have my manual in front of me to check it out.

I guess that works only with the latest os upgrade for the sp-303 which you can download from the roland website. Earlier os versions did not allow you to combine samples from different banks in one sequence.
