I recently purchase several sample's that I have been loading into my MPC 1k and have been able to load the sounds into programs no problem. However, when I load up the sounds into memory and attempt to use several together I quickly run out of RAM to use.

I have already ordered the EXM 128, but its taking forever to get here, so in the mean time is there some way I can clear out the memory without having to power reset my MPC (aka reboot)?

Also is there anything I can do so that one I have saved a sequence I can limit the amount of RAM being used to just the samples being used for the sequence? I doubt it other then re-doing the beat over and loading up just the sounds I need, but it's worth asking.

Go the the LOAD page and highlight the field that let's you select where you want to load from. Then press the WINDOW button and turn off the AUTO-LOAD feature. Now, when you start up your MPC, the internal memory is always clear.

Sorry was out of town. Yea I have this off already, that was in the manual thank god haha. But I'm still wondering if there's a way to clear running memory without power cycling this thing when im making new sequeneces. I'm still waiting on my EXM128 these bastards are taking forever to ship it, not sure why.

save your work as project files.

these include upto 99 sequences (i dont know why on earth anyone would need more), and then say you want another 99 sequences with the same sound set, you save entire memory to another folder, then press window on hte sequence field and hit delete all, save again.

when you load a project file, it clears the entire memory before loading.
