simple question about bars

if i write a beat in 4 bars how do use it if i decide to write a sequence in say 32 bars. when i change the bars to 32 it says everthing after the first 4 will be blank.
sorry i know this is simple but i cant work it out

also where do i save samples that i have recordsed so i still have all the sample time in the record mode and can access these samples whenever i want?

I don't know about the 1000, but I would just go to Song mode and have the 4Bar seq. play 8 times.
That's what I would do in the 2000XL.
I don't know if that's what you're looking for.

if you want to copy the 4 bars to the other 28 bars, just press EDIT and select which bars you want to copy. then on the other side of the screen tell where you want those bars copied to. that will copy the bars you already did to the empty bars after that....btw, im usin the mpc2000
