updating the os - def a newbie question

How do I install a new os on a 2kXL?

Download OS it to a computer,
unzip it using WinZip,
save the .bin file to a 3.5 floppy/Zip/Flash card,
insert into MPC,
turn on MPC,
go to the load screen,
search for .bin file,
select .bin file to load
and thats it.
