pad trigger

sorry for all the question.........i just got this baby lastnight..but how do i make it so the pad will stop playing once i let it go........i looked in the manual and search for this as well...........its been bothering me because i cant figure this out.............thaks peace

pad assignment screen in programs....hit the pad with the sample on it....go to the params screen. you'll be able to set the pad either to mono, poly, or note off

mono: the sample plays through but stops when you hit the pad again
poly: the default setting...plays the sample all the way through but won't stop when you hit the pad again
note off: (probably what you're looking for) the sample only plays as long as the pad is being pressed down
