Here's one way to loop a sample in a sequence...
set the sample up as a one shot, trigger the sample at the beginning of your sequence (in step edit or overdub record modes).
If your loop is 2 bars, and your sequence is 2 bars, and the tempo of your sequence is the same as your sample, it should loop. You may want to add some decay to the sample so it fades out a bit when it ends... also you may need to adjust the tempo of your sequence to fit your sample.
