question about pm's on this site

i already *tried* pm'ing lampdog, but im not sure of it went through.... when i send a pm, the message goes to my "outbox" but not the "sentbox".... the first few pm's i sent went to the sentbox why wouldnt the other ones? i use message boards (specially vBulletin) all day long and i cant imagine what i could be doing wrong... anyone able to help?

outbox --> pm not read yet by the recipient
sentbox --> pm read by recipient
