factory preset patterns on the MPC 4000

Need some advice. Just bought a MPC 4000 (the version without hard drive or cd burner). I recently installed the burner but was wondering if I should send in the hard drive to VST to have the presets mapped onto the new hard drive or dowload and sample drum tracks from my Triton and other places to come up with better sounds? Anyone know if the factor presets have any truly banging sounds or are they generic kits I can find anywhere?

There are useable samples all over the web....some of the AKAI samples are ok too...Do a search and you shall find
