Well.. I just wanna know, let's say i made one beat.. How do i save it? I don't wanna use my MPC to the computer, so.. >< Where shall i save it?

Can you save it ON the MPC?
Or do you save it, on some flash card..?

Some sort of external device.If you have a zip/jaz drive or hd,that would be your best bet.Floppies can only save very little info so to save a whole beat would take you through a few floppies.

omg, anyway.
storage options are:

cf, floppy, zip, scsi hd
internal hd (not all mpc's can do this)
usb (not all mpc's can do this)

Get you a cpu,soundcard and some software and use that usb to it's fullest.

everything has a usb port nowadays. thats one plus about that 1000

go to the save menu, and 'save entire memory'. then u can turn your mpc off with no worries.

then you can load that file later and get back the same song you had.

but if u didn't buy a larger flash card then the included one, you might have to.

So you get the mpc that most people get because of it's u.s.b capabilities..........

no, most people bought it cause its cheap

i bought it cause its small

It's not much cheaper than the 2k or xl.

Most people i know copped it because of the u.s.b and portability.

i copped it because it does the same thing as the others with usb portability good price[NOT CHEAP AT ALL] and once again it does the same as the other ones

I mean, do you HAVE to save it via. usb and computer thing?

You can't have all your work on the MPC1000, on the new internal harddisc that gon come..?
