What program do you use to beatmatch acapella->instrumental

Trying to get some biggie acapella's onto my beats I just don't know what program people use to achieve this, I'm sure there are a few so if someone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

I use my ears.

I understand you use your ears I'm more interested in what program you'd use to actual get the acapella and instrumental to play together on one wav file.

If you already have your beat recorded as like a wav of mp3 file, try using Virtual DJ. If not, just mess with the tempo of you beat until it sounds right with the acapella

Soundforge...etc.etc.

wax, fingers, ears, TTM1 (if the acapella is a digital copy), 2 track recorder

i use my ears my roland vs890 and my mpc2000, thats it. im a hardware head


i sample each verse, and assign them to they own pads. the i trigger the verses and hooks live, while my beat is playing, and i record it into the roland.

Acid is very good and designed for this type of thing.

Live from Albeton will also do it.

on you mpc bang a 4 bar basic drum loop
kick and snare.. if you are doing biggie song it must likely be between 88 to 95bpm.,,
Using your computer or mp3 player play the accappella
find a spot in the accappella that you know the main KICK starts
Play your recorded drum piece at 90 bpm on the spot identified earlier
Listen to it...
then make 1 bpm adjustments either up or down



For me its very easy since I have been Dj'in since i was 13... but we some practice you can get it!!

what I do is timestretch the entire a cappela then chop the verses into individual samples and assign them to pads so that I may have more control over the a capella so that it rides the beat better.

Yup^ You should be able to do it in less than a few minutes with the beatmapper tool, that is if you know how to use it. I've seen a video online of osmeone using it in a very stupid way and wasting his time exporting alot of new files and stuff, it was strange to say the least. But yea, beatmapper.
