Where do you find an SCSI Hard Drive and CD ROM these days??

Hey,

I just bought an MPC 2000xl. Now, I realize that I have no way of loading sounds or saving information. As you know, it requires an external SCSI device. BUT, everything available to buy these days is USB. Where the hell do I find SCSI devices to save and load data?

Doesn't your mpc have some sort of internal device?

It is usually pretty easy to find good deals on scsi drives at ebay. Search these forums for info on what drives you should and shouldn't buy.

No, the 2000xl doesn't have any internal saving. Everything is external via SCSI.

no internal floppy/zip drive? really?

I have pretty good luck finding SCSI hard drives and SCSI CD readers, and even SCSI Zip drives at thrift stores and yard sales for just couple $$ each.

So the models with INTERNAL MCD do not count? Internal Floppy? How about the models with INTERNAL Zip?

just type on ebay for scsci mpc and you will see a good number of hits.
