Really need connection help

Ive just got my MPC 1000 on friday n i love it to bits (except for the $250 vat slapped on it). Ne way im really stuck with setting it up, ive been pligging in and out wires for about 4 hours and have read through houndreds of threads and still no answers. I want to use the MPC as my main sequencer, i have a roland (exr-3) keyboard that i want to use the sounds from to record into it. I also have reason and would like to use the sounds from that, ie play them on the keys and record into the MPC. Finally i want to track out the beat into Cubase LE. I have a mixer with 8ins and 1 out and a Tascam us 122 ext soundcard and midi cables and audio calbes. I have it set up so far that midi in MPC to midi out Keys and midi out Mpc to midi in keys an audio outs of keyboard to mixer and stereo outs of MPC to mixer and then just my speakers into the mixer and have absolutly no luck, ive gone through the settings in the MPC. Can some one put me in the right direction. I am going mad with this and REALLY need your help. Thanx a million in advance. Ema

u should try connecting one peice at a time.
getting that setup exactly how you want and
then move on to adding another peice.

Check out page 4 of the mpc1k manual for example
midi illustrations.

how no luck is no luck..like nothing at all?

plug headphones into your mpc, any sound coming out?
load the built in crap and play some pads.. turn up the volume..

make sure you are going out the mpc's 'outs' and not inputs, check the labels on back...

is the mixer level lighting up at all? check the channel trim and volume... plug a headphone into your mixer, any signal there?

you said speakers into the mixer.. are these speaker designed to be driven directly from a linelevel mixer, or do you need to go thru a stereo amplifier first???

anyway take it one step at a time and it'll be easier for us lazy people to help
