Hello.

I have some basic MPC MIDI questions that were not answered in the manual. I did a search on this site, and did not find the answers to my questions either. I posted in another forum on this site, without much resolution aside from a reference to look in the tutorials.

The only MPC tutorial I've found a MIDI discussion in is in the 'Beat Making' tutorial (http://www.mpc-samples.com/product.php/48/8/). From the looks of the contents, only 5 pages are devoted. Though this may contain the answer, I have a feeling I may be looking for more details.

I've looked through the other tutorials, but haven't come across any more in-depth MIDI discussion specifically aimed at the MPC. I have no problems with doing further research myself; however, if any of you could point me in the right direction, that would be great.

Thanks.

well, what exactly do you want to know about midi and the mpc? There isn't TOO much to know. Maybe you want to setup midi on the mpc. If you do, then search for it..it's been explained a lot

My ebook explains the concepts of MIDI and how to hook up equipment to your MPC to play sound modules from your sequencer, record into multi trackers and also use control keyboards to play your MPC pads.

Futher on in the book it also explains how to record and edit MIDI sequences using your MPC and various other aspects of the MPC that relate to MIDI (e.g. setting it up for MIDI Clock or MTC sync etc).
