MPC1000 and 128mb RAM card

Hi,

Do I need to upgrade the memory on a MPC1000 as I really only want to concentrate on create drum patterns/parts on it at first (until I get used to it)?

My only concern is that I will be getting full songs (in .wav format from my friends to place drum tracks over). Each song could be anything from 3:00 minutes upwards.

Bearing in mind that the standard built in memory only gives a small amount of sampling time I presume that I WILL need the expansion card?

if you are going to load entire songs in the mpc, you will need the 128mb chip. as each 3-4minute song can run in the area of 38 - 45mb each.

are you using a pc/mac aswell?

Yes, I wil be using a laptop together with this unit.
