Hello all,

i'm in need of some dire assistance syncing my mpc with Reason; I would like to use reason as a sound module. I bought a usb interface for my powerbook and have hooked it up to the mpc's midi in and out. I also went into preferences in Reason and have set the 'midi' tab to correspond with my m-audio midi controller. In the advance midi setting, I selected the usb interface for bus a-b-c etc. I then click malstrom (in Reason) and select the usb interface, and press bus select A. I hear the synth through my speakers since the stereo out from my (laptop) is connceted to my mixing board channel 1 and my drums on the mpc connceted to channel 2. The problem is that the data is saved on the mpc only when I press the pads, not when I press the midi controller. I would prefer to build my tracks with the midi controller and record data into the mpc that way. Is there a way to make this happen. I have followed the directions in the Akai manual to the best of my ability, and have been on several different sites. I have a feeling it has something to do with the MPC midi-sync (fcp & or midi clock) or maybe my connections. Please help! Any suggestions, comments, thoughts, criticisms welcome-

Thanks in advance-

respectfully,

Vincent- [/quote]
