last question for a while

Ok i finally got my setup to function how i want it thankx to Lampdog.


Mt fantom and mpc are connect by midi.The patch cords are connected from both into my mixer.

2 Questions:

1.My problem is...why am i not able to record my fantom sounds?When i hit the mpc pads the mixer lights up.When i hit the fantom keys it dosent.However,on some keys on my fantom,it plays the mpc sounds combined with its own sounds and when i hitt that key the mixer lights up.I have the fantom set to slave-midi.Whhy cant i record the fantom sounds?

2.When i hit the mpc pads like for a kick example,trying to makle a drum pattern,the kick dies down after about 5-6 hits.it throws everything off.can this be fixed or is my mpc broke

all i can really say, and this applies to every single question on this forum, try think about everything logically and experiment noting different outcomes

You can't record them because it's MIDI....the reason you hear the fantom sounds and the MPC sounds is because on the main screen you need to have it set to MIDI to hear justthe fantom and drum to hear just the drums. Experiment with things, it's the best way to learn. What I'd suggest you do is sequence everything in the MPC and just name the track in the MPC with the name of what instrument was used with the fantom. (ex. track one you use a piano from the fantom, name the track FantPiano or if they have numbers than 8-22fantom, this way you know what was used and it's easy to work with, then just track them out to have the Audio together.
