Turning 16-bit beats into 24-bit(the industry standard)?

i know the industry standard for recording is 24bit so how do cats with 2000xl's and ASR-10's record thier shit in 24 bit when the samplers are only 16-bit? I've heard alchemist say that he records in 24bit but he uses an asr-10 which is 16bit. How does he do it? Can u do it without losing the depth of your beat. All help is greatly appreciated.

Uhmmm... you just record on something that supports recording at 24 bit? I'm pretty sure the dig002, which the alchemist uses. can record at 24 bit.
