Word the queston is:
Could some one explain to me how he was able to sped up the loop with out it going off track. I've been racking my head trying to figure this out. It might be something so dumb that i'm over looking. any help would be great.

He chopped it up into 16 parts, so that it can be sped up with out changing pitch (kinda like time streching).

ok, so thats what he meant when he said he manually timestretches? i guess that makes sense. if you speed up the tempo without chopping the sample, it will cut the sample short. but if you chop the sample then speed up the tempo, it cuts of each little piece just a bit but still falls on time. does that sound right?

no doubt, me either. it's all the same, just gonna be much faster. hopefully its right around the corner. on a side note, the manual method probably doesn't work so hot on samples you want to slow down does it? seems like that could potntially leave gaps. but there again, timestretch solves that issue doesn't it.

Yea sometimes gaps get left in, but I always go back and re-trim the sample or else I just change the tempo a little notch to make it fit into those gaps. The timestretch will help, but I think mainly the zoning will help more. But if you good at it manually, the zoning will make it easier and the timestretching will too.

if i understand your question correctly, your asking about the note on/off options under params? as far as ive seen, all that function does is: if "NOTE OFF" is selected the sample will play as long as you hold the pad, but will stop when in mid play when you let go, which would be good to have if you were going to make a melody out of that sample with the "16 levels" feature.

as far as timestretch/chopping goes, remember you can always change the "tune" under "shift/program/params" to a negative number and it will make it go faster to match whatever bpm your looking for. the only downside is obviously the sample with be a higher pitch. usually isnt a big deal to me though, and is a lot faster IMHO.
