mpc 2000 question

i have some beats made on the MPC 2000. They are all saved to floppy discs. Now i just need to record them onto a CD or my computer. How would i go about doing this?

Record the audio signal of your MPC in your computer or into a dedicated cd recorder. Connect the audio output of the MPC to the audio input of your soundcard or your cd recorder. I'm sorry my answer is not more specific but the same can be said about your question.

You need:

-A computer
-A soundcard designed for recording
-Cables that connect your MPC to your soundcard
-A recording program, such as Sonar or Cubase.

Do you guys have any suggestions on what brand of soundcard to get. I would like something reasonable but not too expensive.

Also, if you have a soundcard, do you also need something like cubase or sonar. Or can you just get one or the other?

hey i have another question, thought i might as well ask it here.

What is the best way to save to floppy disks. I have a beat made and i want to save it. I tried saving every option like ALL SEQ AND SONG, ALL PROGRAM AND FILE....etc, but it says there isn't enough disc space?? Usually when i save everything there is enough disc space and i can load my files just fine, but my sample must be too long or something. Anyway i can make this work??

your not gonna be able to save all programs and sounds because floppies dont hold that much. if you have a lot of sounds loaded up its gonna take up a sufficient amount of space on disk. floppies just dont have it.

i recommend you upgrade to something like a zip drive (to start out with) or harddrive. maybe even a card reader......

but floppies just wont do it for you....your doin it right by saving that stuff, but you wont have enough space souljah

Ya, i figured i needed to start using the Zip drive. I have like 20 floppy's lying around and its a mystery what beat is on them

Anyway, i have a zip drive. I just couldn't get it to save all the stuff properly. Ill try it again though. Do you just save ALL PROGRAM AND FILES, ALL SEQ AND SONGS....etc to either A-A, A-B, A-C...etc??
